235 aghadānavasaṃhartā
slayer of the demon Agha
Aghāsura, the python-demon
S.B.G 10.12.13 Destroyer of the demon Agha — the serpent-demon Aghāsura opens his enormous body as a mountain-cave; the boys walk in thinking it a wonderful cave; Kṛṣṇa expands his body within to suffocate the demon.
236 vrajavighnavināśanaḥ
destroyer of the perils besetting Vraja
S.B.G 10.12.34 'Destroyer of obstacles for Vraja' — Kṛṣṇa systematically destroys every demon Kaṃsa sends to harm Vṛndāvana; his presence makes Vraja the safest of all places.
237 vrajasañjīvanaḥ
reviver of Vraja
restoring the boys and calves to life
S.B.G 10.12.30 'Reviver of Vraja' — after Aghāsura's death, the boys had been swallowed; Kṛṣṇa pulls each one out alive; his revival of the cowherd children is celebrated by the village.
238 śreyonidhiḥ
treasury of blessedness
S.B.G 10.14.40 'Treasury of all blessings (śreyas)' — Brahmā in his hymn calls Kṛṣṇa the source of all auspiciousness; whatever any being seeks, the path lies through him.
239 dānavamuktidaḥ
who granted liberation even to the demon
Agha's soul merged into him
S.B.G 10.12.33 'Giver of liberation to demons' — even Aghāsura, like Pūtanā before him, attains a high destination because his death came at Kṛṣṇa's hand; the Bhāgavata notes this with wonder.
