The Names in This Verse (4)

76 maharṣimānasollāsaḥ

the delight of the minds of the great sages

S.B.G 10.2.11

Delight of the great sages' hearts — when the Lord enters Devakī's womb, the great sages perceive the event across the universe and burst into spontaneous hymns of joy.

77 mahīmaṅgaladāyakaḥ

bestower of auspiciousness upon the Earth

S.B.G 10.1.22

Giver of auspiciousness to the earth — the earth's complaint to Brahmā and the avatāra's response is this very gift: removal of inauspiciousness, restoration of dharma.

78 santoṣitasuravrātaḥ

who gladdened the host of gods

S.B.G 10.3.6

Who satisfied the hosts of gods — when the Lord descends into Devakī's womb, the gods who have waited break into songs of joy in the sky over Mathurā.

79 sādhucittaprasādakaḥ

who brings serenity to the hearts of the good

S.B.G 10.2.1

Pleaser of the hearts of the virtuous — the Bhāgavata describes how news of the Lord's descent fills the hearts of sages and good beings with overflowing joy.
